I roll w plulalie really REALLY hard even if it doesn't seem like it and it's merely because the way their dynamic has been going on as for now its EXACTLY just like how me and my now boyfriend used to be AND kinda even how we first met. I saw him once on the school hallways and immediately got a "crush" on him, like one of those "we are in different classes we will never know eachother he would NEVER like me also he's so cool so it's utterly impossible and delusional" type of crush. Go figure we actually fucking met at an anime convention a month after through me meeting another friend who lives in a whole ass different city and strictly knew from Instagram but apparently was ??? Their childhood best friend ????? And he also apparently just went to the con to accompany them to meet this random person (me) they had talked to through Instagram ????????? Fucking wild actually. Anyways we started talking after this and ended up hanging out all summer then somehow got put in the same class next year????? I spent the whole time talking to anyone who knew us about how GREAT he is and SO COOL and pretty and everything and how out of his league I was. That btw I still think I am I don't know how I pulled that. We spent all school year sitting together and annoying the fuck out of everybody else in the class by being the most obliviously in love motherfuckers ever to the point a fucking bet was made. No seriously one day at the almost end of the school year after we finally started ACTUALLY dating we shared a little kiss and instantly a round of cheering and a "YALL OWE ME 5 MOTHERFUCKERS" was heard. We didn't even knew any of these people. Oh also he was the one who got into Nevermore first and then after reaching like chapter 50 sent me the link like "please read this theres this failure ass catboy who is basically you i need you to acknowledge this shit" and made me read it. he was right in me and pluto being the same fucking person btw also he identifies A LOT w Eulalie too, as a cute little fact

Apr 30 - spent most of the day travelling back north. Rained the whole way. Unpacked and put away stuff, took a short nap, then set my PC up again. I didn't bother having more than a snack for supper afterwards; dried figs, dried apricots, some mostly-tropical-fruit-based trail mix - not exactly a balanced meal or anything close to it but I didn't feel particularly ambitious, the fridge was low on stuff, and I still had those on hand from snack shopping I'd done down in Toronto.

May 1 - cleaned fridge, made shopping list. Baked a loaf of panettone. Was annoyed to find out some replacement key caps I bought for my keyboard while down in Toronto (because the black layer is wearing away on some letters) doesn't actually have the correct underside shape to replace my keyboard's key caps, despite being from the same manufacturer. Grrrr.

For supper I made a saffron risotto.

Aphrodite April - Day 1

I’m going to be doing a mix of the general and experienced versions of this, if that’s alright! I’ve been on and off with my practice due to my physical health so I haven’t worked with Aphrodite as much as I’d like, and I really want to do this Aphrodite April thing for that reason. 

Today I’m doing the experienced question;

1. Share the origin story of your relationship with Aphrodite

It’s honestly been so long, I think she was the third deity I ever felt called to which was really big for me because at the time, I was very slowly inching my way into witchcraft and paganism. I was coming from a traumatic religious background but she’s always been very patient with me, I think. 

I think honestly, to the deities I was worshipping back then I was kind of just the sopping wet cat they were trying to calm down and dry off. /j

Jokes aside Aphrodite helped me a lot back then and even now, I think. I love writing romance just as I did back then and through that, as well as my desire to focus on self-love, I connected with her. I remember doing self-love spells for myself long before I knew at all what I was doing. They were some of my first big spells that I dedicated both to self-love and to Aphrodite because of her connection to love.

Due to working through my old religious trauma and my physical health, I haven’t practiced much with any of the deities I worship. I’ve been wanting to reconnect with Aphrodite lately, and I think this is a great opportunity for that.

Speaking of self-love and self-care, I am now going to take a nap. I am very sleepy. /hj
